Strawberries & the Internet = strawberry cupcakes

I love the Internet and I especially like Google. I love how I can at the touch of a few buttons get information about everything! I feel so powerful. I type in a few words and presto more information that I could possibly read let alone use. DSC00173

On Thursday evening I realized I had a pint of strawberries in the fridge that needed to be used. If I were to ask my children they would scream for strawberry shortcake again but I wanted something different. So off to my computer I went....googl-ing (is that a word?). Cupcakes still being the rage I decided to find one that I had all the ingredients for and did not involve an all day process. This is what I found (plus a lot of other yummy looking recipes for strawberries. I really need to try my hand at a strawberry tart) Sprinkles Strawberry Cupcakes and Sprinkles Strawberry Frosting. The only change I made was to fill them with a store bought lemon curd and Babygirl filled and drizzled hers and the Twins' with strawberry puree. YUM! I would definitely make this again!

Strawberries are big at my house. They usually don't have a chance to get into anything!

Thanks for coming by!

Strawberries are so expensive in Japan but they are good -- have you have had a chance to eat them with drizzled "sweet condensed milk"?

On being lived in.. hehe while we were saving- oh boy did we sacrafice- were doing room by room... it took me four months to pick out a sofa hahah can you believe it- but we don't have kids yet and even now.. I was nearly cleaning everyday- we still have a lot of work to do.... I think the all white tangent helps me feel bright on dark gloomy days..makes me feel happy and I need as much of that as possible... err working in Japan.. no picnic by any means at all = (

That's a bummer about the strawberries! :-( Thanks for the tip about sweetened condensed milk! I'm gonna give it a try. I'll let you know.

I'm just messing with ya! Your home is beautiful. Working hard and sacrificing for something you want makes it all the more special. Good for you and your husband!

No worries --- You have no idea.. OMG there were a few times we had tuna can and rice..heheh how sad is that.

No I have to replace the wallpaper they made a mistake and put up cream.. CREAM is not white darn it.. haha

I have no idea... what to choose. I found brushed steel wallpaper-- I am seriously conflicted ... I think the low interest on housing helps a great deal for sure.

Speaking of condensed milk.. I had the oddest well it was delish but.. we had cup (snow balls) that came in a cup just crushed ice but it had or was flavored coffee with condensed milk..... I was thinking about using strawberry syrup which they use for coffee and try the condensed milk (but I love unsweetened though)

I haven't had a snow cone with the sweetened condensed milk but I have heard of it. I think it a southern thing. Ha-ha! I'm in FL but it's not really considered the south.

I feel ya...rice and can tuna...NOT good.

You would think that the person putting up the paper would have noticed that it was not white? Wasn't the wall white to begin with? Frustrating. Hey are you designing everything yourself? Impressive! You don't do it for a living? If not you might want to re-think that.

Take care!
