A new found love.......

  DSC00347We  HEART Blondies!

Until this summer the kids and I had never had a Blondie.  I know crazy, right!? Well, we have since had several kinds and have yet to find one we didn't like.  Our favorite is  the Snickerdoodle Blondies from Julia at Dozen Flours though these Butterfinger Blondies from The Crepes of Wrath are pretty darn good.

Besides Blondies being so good.  They are easy to make unless of course you mess up printing out the recipe and then leave out a cup of flour but hey that's for another post.  Another plus for Blondies is that the ingredients are a staple in every kitchen. What baker doesn't ever have brown sugar, butter, flour, vanilla, and eggs on hand at any given time in their kitchen?  On top of those basic ingredients Blondies can easily be tweaked to suit everyone's taste!  What's not to like?

If you guys have an awesome "go to" recipe for FAB Blondies leave me a comment with the link.  I'd love to try it!

  14. I am SO with you about the blondies. I have a Blondies post on my blog as well. At work, I brought in a blond "brownie" - one blondie with chocolate chips and white chocolate chips, one blondie with ONLY white chips. The one with white only won out HANDS DOWN! :)

Thanks for stopping by, loved the anecdote about your parents working together...

  22. Hi, Ingrid...what a great combination of Bs!
Speaking of Bs, I'm fond of the recipe for Raspberry Pecan Blondies I found in Bon Appetit a few years ago. It's untraditional but really good.

  23. Love your pictures!! I can't wait to try them all. I like to make chocolate brownies because it is easy to make but mine is not so dense or fudgy. I made a white chocolate brownie http://notafreakingfoodconnoisseur.blogspot.com/2008/08/midsummer-nights-faerie-wedding-at.html using milk powder instead of cocoa powder. if u keep the brownie overnight or a few days in the fridge, it becomes chewier and denser. yummy! recipe is here http://notafreakingfoodconnoisseur.blogspot.com/2008/09/mini-brownie-cupcakes-at-faeries-tea.html
